If you own a 2004+ VW with a TDI engine and have had it serviced at Al Johnson VW or for that matter any VW dealership. CHECK your paper work to see which oil was used. Read your owners manuals and know that the 2004+ TDI requires oil with a rating of 505.01. It is part number G052167a2. This oil is the ONLY oil that VW sells that can be used in the new TDI.

Most VW dealerships have zero knowledge of this new oil and have been using the 505.00 oil.

"engine damage caused by using the wrong engine oil will not be covered by the limited new vehicle warranty"

Al Johnson also does not like to do warranty work on VW that were not bought from them. They make up lame reasons and give the run-around.
